Odyssey Software, a provider of enterprise-class mobile device management software, announced that it is the first MDM product provider delivering support for iOS5 on Oct. 12 in line with Apple’s release. Odyssey Software’s flagship MDM software, Athena, is ready with iOS5 device management capabilities.
With the enhancements offered by Apple, iOS4 users are likely to be migrating to iOS5 very quickly, said Stephen Drake, Program VP at IDC.
Being able to support these users immediately will be of critical importance to enterprise IT administrators, he added.
“With this increase in usage of these devices in the enterprise comes the growing demand to remotely manage these devices to enforce policies, enhance productivity and drive efficient operations for workers.
