Pegasus TransTech announced that Heniff Transportation Systems has implemented its Transflo Express and Transflo Now! for iPhone. Headquartered in Oak Brook, Ill., Heniff operates a fleet of 300 power units from Alsip, Ill., as well as from other terminals in Illinois, Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and Florida. The privately owned company, founded in 1998, transports bulk chemical products.

Joe Neal, IT director for Heniff, said the carrier came to consider Transflo Express while reviewing various processes within the company. “How could we implement technology to make things as efficient as possible?”, Neal said. “Transflo Express really jumped out as a good possibility.”

Neal says that Heniff drivers often fill up at Pilot or Flying J Travel Centers, all of which offer Transflo Express, and that drivers can have their documents scanned at the fuel desk while they pay for fuel; they hand their delivery documents to a fuel desk attendant. In seconds, these documents are delivered electronically to headquarters for immediate billing and payroll processing.

“We can see hard numbers now,” Neal said. “Just by taking that one step, we’ve cut a day off our billing cycle.” Heniff also has implemented Transflo Now! for iPhone; using Transflo Now! for iPhone, drivers can capture images of signed delivery receipts, logs or bills of lading and send multiple documents electronically to the fleet. “Drivers like options,” Neal said. “There’s that small possibility that a nearby truck top isn’t available en-route, yet they still need another way to get that paperwork in.”
