Xata Corp. announced that its Xata Turnpike solution has certified the Motorola Admiral, an Android push-to-talk device. Xata, a provider of fleet optimization software for the trucking industry, says the Motorola Admiral is one of the most flexible trucking industry smartphones on the market.

Xata, an electronic onboard recorder solution provider with 4G connectivity for the truck cab, has certified 10 new devices since introducing the Android platform early this year. In addition to the Motorola Admiral and more than 20 other Blackberry, Intermec, HTC, Motorola and Samsung smartphones, five Android tablet computers already have been certified by Xata Turnpike.
