Columbus McKinnon has renovated its original company headquarters in Tonawanda, N.Y., into a new training center. The facility, which most recently served as a LodeRail production plant, will hold classes for certification and training courses in various formats and will offer both classroom and hands-on learning.
The company says that expanding its training offerings will enable its distributors and users to be fully trained and learn in a controlled environment built for comprehensive training. The training programs are designed to increase workplace productivity while emphasizing ergonomics and worker safety.
Topics scheduled to be covered during 2011-2012 include hoist maintenance, rigging practices, load securement, safe hoisting, crane and hoist inspection, rigging gear inspection, mobile crane operator, industry regulations and overhead crane operator. For more information, go to www.cmcodepot.com.
