Great Dane kicks off national parts, service support program

Updated Feb 22, 2012

Great Dane announced at the Technology and Maintenance Council Spring Meeting in Tampa, Fla., that it is dramatically expanding its existing national account program. The new AdvantEdge customer support program will provide enrolled members nationwide parts and service support from more than 100 Great Dane certified service providers, as well as consolidated invoicing, upfront repair estimates and full warranty coverage for all qualified Great Dane trailers.

“This is a customer-driven program,” said Dave Durand, vice president of aftermarket parts. “After we launched our national account program in 2010, customers told us it was good but could be better. What they specifically requested was 24/7 emergency road service through the Great Dane dealer network. That’s what AdvantEdge delivers.”

Durand said the program is open to fleets for no enrollment or monthly subscription charge. Members will enjoy access to more than 20,000 Great Dane certified mobile service providers offering mechanical, refrigerated and tire repair, as well as towing services for Class 7 and 8 tractors and trailers. The program is available in the United States, Canada and Mexico, with Great Dane providing full currency conversion invoicing for non-U.S. customers.

“We already have 85 fleets enrolled in the program,” Durand said. “We welcome any fleet – even a guy with one trailer. He’ll enjoy the same level of roadside emergency service as the large fleets.”
