J.J. Keller recently introduced its online Tractor-Trailer Driver Training-School Edition, which is based upon the FHWA Model Curriculum, and follows the Professional Truck Driver Institute’s curriculum standards. Housed on J.J. Keller’s Training On Demand site, the Tractor-Trailer Driver Training-School Edition is designed to provide resources for instructors to use to enhance their curriculum and provide the functionality to offer distance learning for students.

Subscribers to the online Tractor-Trailer Driver Training-School Edition receive a full complement of training resources designed to follow all 33 chapters of J.J. Keller’s Tractor-Trailer Driver Training Manual. Each chapter includes full-bodied training resources, including overview and objectives, instructor’s guide, student manual, PowerPoint presentations, quizzes, videos, online interactive training and related documents, charts, images and clip art.

Instructors can utilize the streaming video-based training content in the classroom or take advantage of the built-in distance learning capabilities by providing their students with remote access to the videos. Instructors will be able to download the online content for use on their own Learning Management System (LMS). However, videos and online interactive training courses cannot be downloaded.

Instructors also can upload their own training documents into the system. Additional online interactive training also can be purchased and assigned, as needed, from within the site, and built-in recordkeeping tools keep track of students’ progress throughout the curriculum. Since the online content is updated automatically as needed to reflect the latest regulatory revisions, instructors receive the most up-to-date learning material possible, J.J. Keller says.

“The online Tractor-Trailer Driver Training-School Edition offers flexibility to meet the needs of distance learners or situations when a student misses a class,” says Joel Landsverk, product development specialist. “Schools will also be able to expand course content and increase credits, so more students will qualify for government funding or financial aid.”

A free 30-day trial of J.J. Keller’s Tractor-Trailer Driver Training-School Edition is available by calling 800-327-6868 ext. 8523 and referencing Promo Code 53583. For more information, go to jjkellertraining.com/driver.
