Kentucky exempts storm relief haulers from hours rules

Kentucky Gov. Steven Beshear has declared a state of emergency in the state after this month’s outbreak of severe weather, which included hurricane-force winds, tornadoes and flash flooding, all resulting in injuries, loss of life and damage.

Commercial motor vehicles providing relief supplies, power restoration, debris removal and livestock supplies are exempt from hours-of-service rules until otherwise notified.
