Longistics, a full-service provider of global logistics solutions, announced that Jeff Tankersley has been named director of trucking operations for the company. Working from the company’s trucking operation hub in Memphis, Tenn., Tankersley will oversee the daily operation of the motor transportation fleet and will work directly with clients to determine needs, develop contracts and monitor customer satisfaction. He will partner with operation managers and coordinators to ensure that deliveries are made promptly and securely, and that company policies and procedures for security and safety are being communicated effectively.
Tankersley has more than 10 years in the logistics and trucking industries. He previously served as regional general manager for Diligent Delivery Systems in Memphis. “As director of our trucking operations, Jeff will handle developing and implementing strategic plans to address customer requirements,” says Andy Marchiano, Longistics president. “His past experience makes him extremely well-suited and qualified for the position, and I have high expectations for his abilities to serve as a valuable asset to our company.”
