The ProPickup Truck Expo – a new automotive aftermarket tradeshow showcasing full-size pickups and accessories – has joined forces with the Great American Trucking Show when it rolls into the Dallas Convention Center in late August.

“The ProPickup Truck Expo is focused on bringing owners, CEOs, fleet managers, DOT, utility and others involved with the heavy construction and contracting trades together with pickup manufacturers, aftermarket manufacturers, suppliers and specialty manufacturers of full-size pickups, parts and accessories,” says Dan Tidwell, senior vice president and group publisher of the Randall-Reilly Construction Media Group.

“Having the ProPickup Truck Expo at the same time as the Great American Trucking Show will bring the entire trucking world, from pickups to big rigs, together under one roof,” says Tidwell. “PPTE is the physical extension of the editorial content found in ProPickup magazine, which focuses on equipment and upgrades that help professional contractors maximize the efficiency of their pickups. Our new expo will expand the market reach and awareness of exhibitors and attendees alike.”

Exhibit space for both trade shows will include GMC Truck, Ram Truck and other leading OE and aftermarket manufacturers of full-size pickup parts, accessories and services.

“Our events group’s focus over the last few years has been on creating segment-specific programs to attract new audiences to Dallas,” says Alan K. Sims, vice president and executive director of Randall-Reilly Events, which produces GATS and the ProPickup Truck Expo. “GATS has done exceptionally during the past 14 years in attracting the over-the-road audience to the Dallas Convention Center. We believe the addition of the ProPickup Truck Expo, with its hundreds of exhibitors, will have the same success in attracting those who rely on pickups as the backbone of their business.”

ProPickup Truck Expo, GATS and all of the events and conferences surrounding it fall under the umbrella of Intersection 2012 – an all-encompassing weeklong event developed to attract participants from all segments of the trucking and construction trades. “We believe Intersection 2012 will benefit exhibitors and attendees by enabling them to maximize their networking, educational and buying/selling opportunities,” says Jeff Mason, Randall-Reilly senior vice president, trucking. “They will save time and money by achieving multiple goals with one all-encompassing event.”
