C.H. Robinson says 2Q profit up 3.2%

C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. on Tuesday, July 24, reported net income for the second quarter ended June 30 increased 3.2 percent to $114.6 million from $111 million during the same period a year ago. Revenue climbed 9.2 percent to $2.96 billion compared with $2.71 billion.

“From July 1 through July 23, 2012, our North American truckload volume growth per business day was approximately 11 percent,” the Eden Prairie, Minn.-based freight and transport company said. “Through the same period, our total net revenue per business day declined approximately 1.5 percent.”
