Airclic, a provider of cloud-based software for mobile supply chain and logistics operations, and ALK Technologies, a provider of GeoLogistics and navigation software, announced ALK’s CoPilot Truck, truck-specific GPS navigation solution will be integrated into Airclic’s cloud-based mobile software products.

The system will provide spoken, turn-by-turn directions that take into account truck-restricted roads to avoid costly fines and vehicle damage, reduce out-of-route mileage and increase driver efficiency, the companies say. Using customizable truck dimensions for height, length, width and weight/axle weight, drivers can calculate the optimal route to provide driver’s safe and reliable routing on truck-legal roads.

“Our cloud-based packaged products have ongoing releases to meet the demands of the transportation industry. Regular releases also enable us to team with best-of-breed industry leaders, such as ALK, to provide new and improved features and functionality that deliver a competitive edge,” said Mike Lee, CEO of Airclic.
