IntermodalTrinium Technologies, a provider of enterprise systems for the trucking industry, released version 8 of its transportation management system. Trinium has developed systems for intermodal and multi-modal trucking companies since 2000.

Trinium announced the release of the new version at the company’s customer executive committee meeting in November after the IANA Expo in Anaheim, California. The version 8 release contains over 120 enhancements to the system, including improvements to dispatch workflow, dispatch planning, and street turn/reload planning.

“We continue to receive forward thinking product ideas from our user advisory group and from our customer base as a whole. These ideas along with our internal R & D efforts enable us to stay ahead of our competition serving the intermodal trucking market,” said Dennis Lane, vice president of Trinium Technologies.

Trinium’s product strategy has also shifted to more of a web based approach with a focus on mobile applications, which will continue in the foreseeable future. Over the past year, the company has released a web based management dashboard and a web based smart phone application for drivers to receive and update dispatches. Coming in the next release will be improvements to mobile applications for drivers, carriers, customers, internal staff, and management.
