Comdata Corporation, a provider of electronic payment systems, announced that Lowe’s has chosen the company to provide store fleet and fuel payments. Lowe’s is the second-largest home improvement retailer in the world, operating more than 1,750 stores in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

“We selected Comdata based on their history and experience with the fleet industry,” said Brian McIntosh, director of delivery and fleet for Lowe’s. “Comdata’s program includes some key benefits that meet our needs, including fuel discounts and other fuel management resources that we believe will help us operate more efficiently.”

With a mixed fleet of more than 5,000 vehicles, Lowe’s chose to implement the Comdata MasterCard corporate fleet card program, which provides universal acceptance and reporting. The program also includes access to Comdata’s nationwide network of discount locations, as well as real-time awareness of transaction activity and driver behavior with Comdata FleetAdvance.

“We are excited to deliver our fleet card solution to Lowe’s,” said Randy Morgan, executive vice president, Comdata. “We understand that fuel can be one of the most variable expenses for a fleet, so as a company we strive to deliver as much value and insight as we can around each purchase transaction.”
