Welcome to Honduras, Interstate Batteries!

Interstate Batteries announced the opening of an Interstate Batteries distributorship, Inversiones Internacionales, In Honduras. Based in the Honduran capital city of Tegucigalpa, the company and dealership have reached a partnership agreement to market the Interstate brand in that country under the flagship Interstate Batteries of Honduras.

“We are very grateful of the opportunity to join forces and to partner with Interstate Batteries and being part of the team to make Interstate the No. 1 brand in Honduras,” Inversiones Internacionales owner Juan Ramon Martinez Bardales said. “We wanted to introduce a premium battery brand and sell a product with value beyond the battery itself. We found that with Interstate Batteries.”

According to Interstate, Inversiones Internacionales has a strong presence in the automotive industry in Honduras, as the company has sold car care products, lubricants and its own private brand of batteries since the 1980s.

Today, Inversiones Internacionales serves 300 dealers across Honduras and operates 17 retail stores. Some of these locations will immediately take on the Interstate Batteries branding, while all of the locations will carry Interstate batteries. In 2012, Inversiones Internacionales sold 49,000 private-labeled units.

“Our new partnership in Honduras is another exciting step as we watch the Interstate value proposition of delivering dependable service continue to expand internationally,” said Jon Savage, Interstate Batteries’ vice president of international distributor development. “We are fortunate and excited to join strengths with Juan and his team as we aggressively market a premium battery brand like Interstate Batteries in Honduras.”

Interstate Batteries products are available throughout North America and in several international locations, including Australia, Costa Rica, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Guyana, Panama, and Puerto Rico, and now in Honduras.
