St. Jude truck 22Fitzgerald Glider Kits announce last week it is selling a brand new Peterbilt 389 glider kit and donating 100 percent of the sale price to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

The glider kit manufacturer’s specially built glider truck will be on display in Louisville, Ky., later this month at the Mid-America Trucking Show. The truck is powered by a Detroit Diesel 60 Series pre-EGR engine and a factory rebuilt Eaton Fuller transmission.

Fitzgerald will be accepting offers on the truck via phone and in Louisville this month, and it will sell the truck to the bidder with the highest asking price.

The truck has a white base and several red St. Jude’s logos on it.

Peterbilt, Rush Truck Centers, DynaFlex and Chrome Country are sponsoring the project, too. To submit a bid for the truck, call 866-597-3836.

In the video to the right, Fitzgerald Glider Kits owners and managers Tommy and Robert Fitzgerald talk more about the project, along with representatives from St. Jude’s.
