100 Years Ago: CCJ Covers World War I

This post was originally published in August 2014. In honor of Independence Day this weekend, CCJ brought it back from the archives. 

On August 4, 1914, Britain joined France and Russia in declaring war on Imperial Germany and the Austro-Hungarian Empire beginning World War I. And CCJ, founded in 1911, was there covering the first modern war and the role “Commercial Cars” were playing in it.
