Nearly a quarter-million wreaths were placed on headstones at Arlington National Cemetery this weekend — allowing Wreaths Across America for the first time to place a wreath on every grave site at Arlington.
Roughly 25,000 volunteers showed up to assist in the wreath-placing ceremony, meant to honor fallen U.S. veterans. Similar ceremonies took place at veterans’ cemeteries nationwide.
