Local, family-owned and operated Venezia Bulk Transport announced it will celebrate 50 years in business with a recognition event on Saturday, May 6. The company is expecting over 500 attendees during the four-hour event.

Venezia Bulk Transport provides daily delivery services for various companies that manufacture or supply recognizable items in everyday living, from flour for major national pizza chains, to cement and asphalt for major construction projects in Philadelphia, NYC, and the surrounding regions, to motor and industrial oils for local refineries.

Currently operating over 500 tractors from terminals in nine states, Venezia Transportation services customers primarily in the eastern half of the United States. The company is owned by Frank, John, and Andy Venezia and employs more than 250 staff locally and in excess of 600 team members. Its roots were started in the back yard of the family home in Trooper, Penn., in 1967 and moved to Limerick Township in 1977 with the current corporate office built in 2001.

Venezia recently received a proclamation from Tom Wolf, Governor of Pennsylvania, to commemorate its milestone.

Venezia’s liquid division includes products such as petroleum lubricants, LPG, admixtures and asphalt.  The dry bulk and rail transfer division includes products such as cement, lime, sand and plastic resin. The food grade division includes products such as flour, sugar, salt, malt and starch.
