Nearly 8,000 truck bodies manufactured by Morgan Truck Body are being recalled for an issue that allows water to enter the wiring harness and affect the turn signals, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration documents.

The 7,634 affected model year 2013-2018 bodies were built on Isuzu, Kenworth, Mercedes, Chevrolet, GM, Freightliner, Mitsubishi and Peterbilt chassis. Morgan says incorrect turn signal operation increases the risk of a crash. Morgan manufactures Class 3 to Class 7 truck bodies.

According to NHTSA documents, Morgan will begin notifying owners on March 15, and dealers will replace or modify the wiring harnesses.

Owners of affected trucks can contact Morgan customer service at 1-800-666-7426 with recall numbers FRWI-517 and FRWI-518. NHTSA’s recall number is 18V-145.
