The annual CCJ Symposium will feature panels and breakout sessions on three topics that are currently at the forefront in the trucking industry – e-commerce, electric trucks and recruiting.

The e-commerce segment of the event will feature a talk by Tim Denoyer, vice president and senior analyst at ACT Research, titled “The Next Big Thing in Trucking.”

Denoyer’s talk will be followed by a panel, which he moderates, about “The Rise of Online Retail.” Panelists include Lance Dearborn, CEO of Fast Mile Logistics; Craig Stoffel, vice president of global logistics for Werner Enterprises; and Woody Lovelace, senior vice president of corporate planning and development for Southeastern Freight Lines. The panel will dive into ways to leverage technology and reposition your freight model and equipment mix to take advantage of new opportunities.

Finally, three breakout sessions will be held focusing on e-commerce. One breakout, titled “The Future of Logistics Management,” will feature Tim Manning, vice president of North American surface transportation for C.H. Robinson. Clay Holmes, CIO of Cardinal Logistics, will be the speaker for another breakout session about “Getting Started with Final Mile.” Finally, Dearborn will host a breakout session on “Opportunities in e-Commerce.”

CCJ Symposium is set for May 21-23 at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort in South Carolina. A full agenda for the event can be found here.

Registration for Symposium is $495 and includes all sessions, all event-included meals and the golf activity. The event is open to fleet management only.

During the registration process, attendees will be asked if they would like to book a room for a discounted rate of $219 per night, not including taxes and fees.
