Atlas Logistics, a subsidiary of Atlas World Group (CCJ Top 250, No. 63) has acquired Progressive Transportation, Inc. of Wausau, Wisconsin, a provider of over-the-road pad-wrap transportation. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition of 50-truck Progressive Transportation accelerates the growth of padded-van solutions within Atlas Logistics’ service offerings and delivers additional capacity to our network of agents across the company, said Phil Wahl, president and COO of Atlas Logistics.

Founded in 1995, Progressive Transportation has built lasting relationships with its customer base, including Progressive’s two largest clients having worked with the company for more than two decades. The executive management team has more than 30 years of experience in the transportation field and more than 25 years in the pad-wrap market.
By providing up-to-date assets, including a fleet of late-model tractors, and fostering an environment of openness and transparency between all employees and contractors, Progressive has developed an experienced and loyal driver base.

There have been 16 mergers and acquisitions among CCJ's Top 250 for-hire carriers since the beginning of June, and 25 Top 250 fleets have struck 24 deals this year.
