TCI Transportation has acquired Success NationaLease, a Kansas-based leasing company founded in 1960 by Hanan Wedlan, adding more than 450 trucks and three facilities to TCI’s nationwide network and strengthening its presence in Kansas and Texas.
Success NationaLease began as a small Kansas City operation before expanding to Wichita and Arlington, Texas.
"Joining TCI ensures that this legacy will continue to thrive under leadership that shares our same values," said John Malinee, who has served as president of Success NationaLease since 1993. "This transition is about ensuring Success’s legacy lives on and that our people and customers are supported for decades to come.”
The connection between the two companies was forged through their membership in NationaLease, where Malinee and TCI Co-President Andrew Flynn first met more than 20 years ago.
“Success NationaLease shares many of our core values and approaches to customer service,” said Andrew Flynn, Co-President of TCI Transportation. “When two family-owned companies with similar values come together, it creates stability, strengthens employee loyalty, and ensures we continue to deliver exceptional service. What excites me most is the opportunity for shared growth. We’ll adopt some of Success’s best practices while bringing in our own strengths, and customers can expect the same outstanding service with expanded resources.”
Ryan Flynn, Co-President of TCI Transportation, added that the acquisition allows his company to combine the best practices from both organizations and strengthen the team for the future. "It’s an incredible feeling—both an honor and a privilege—to lead TCI into this next chapter of growth," he said. "This acquisition is not just a business milestone—it’s a continuation of our father’s vision and a reflection of the values he instilled in us.”
With the acquisition of Success NationaLease, TCI grows to more than 4,000 pieces of equipment, 1,900 employees, and 25 facilities nationwide.
