With fuel prices at record highs and rates on the spot market falling in recent weeks, there is no doubt that fleets are looking for ways to maximize their efficiency and get the most out of every mile they run.

There are times when shippers will purchase truckload service but don’t have a full trailer worth of freight to ship. For the truckload carrier, empty space in the trailer means lost potential revenue. This is where shared truckload freight comes into play.
