Nikola secures Sourcewell contract for government agencies
Zero-emission truck manufacturer Nikola Corporation, via its HYLA brand, announced it has secured a Sourcewell cooperative contract, which aims to simplify the purchasing process for the OEM's zero-emission Class 8 semis for public agencies.
Sourcewell is a self-funded government organization founded in 1978 whose aim is to facilitate a cooperative purchasing program that "harnesses the collective purchasing power of more than 50,000 participating agencies."
Sourcewell streamlines the purchasing process for these agencies with pre-negotiated, competitive contracts, allowing for "government, educational, and non-profit organizations to secure cost-effective and efficient purchasing solutions." In short, customers will save time and money towards the purchase of Nikola's semi lineup.
This new partnership grants any public agency more direct access to the manufacturer's Class 8 trucks without having to navigate the sometimes complicated purchasing process thanks to "ready-to-use, Sourcewell-vetted contracts," Nikola said.
