Dana Incorporated launched new driveshaft solutions on Monday at ATA's Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) in Nashville.

They include the Spicer AdvanTEK 40 Pro axle and Spicer SPL High Torque (HT) series driveshafts.

"Fleets today need drivetrain solutions that can handle higher torque while improving efficiency and serviceability," says Vic Avran, vice president of sales and program management of commercial vehicle systems at Dana. "Dana is proud to deliver our latest axle and driveshaft technologies that are designed to meet those demands, delivering higher performance, reduced weight and longer service life to help fleets improve durability and keep trucks running longer."

The AdvanTEK 40 Pro axle supports engine down speeding and has one of the lowest rations available in North America, Dana says. It features a Venturi-style cover that ensures proper lubrication and has 16 available gear ratios. It supports up to 1,950 lb.-ft. of engine torque and is rated for 145,000 GCWR.

The new axle is available for spec'ing in new truck orders.

Spicer SPL High Torque (HT) driveshafts include the SPL 250 HT and SPL 350 HT, both engineered for high torque applications and designed to integrate with the AdvanTEK axle family. Features of the driveshafts include an enhanced mid-integrated slip design with a refined involute spline profile, industry-leading balance specifications, torque ratings up to 22,127 lb. ft., and it's up to 35 lbs. lighter than other solutions.
