Haldex ApolloSDxSAF-Holland on Sunday at the Technology and Maintenance Council Annual Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition in Nashville introduced its new ApolloSDx Super-Duty Air Treatment System. The product joins the Haldex product line, which SAF-Holland acquired in 2022

ApolloSDx is designed for installation by the OEM or fleet retrofit.

Barry Williams, SAF-Holland senior commercial product manager for air controls, noted the ApolloSDx "fills a gap" in the market as it is designed to fit applications between standard and severe-duty.

ApolloSDx is a fit, Williams said, OTR line-haul, dump trucks, roll-off and rural refuse trucks, straight and service trucks, terminal tractors, agricultural vehicles, school buses, emergency vehicles and recreational vehicles to remove moisture, carbon, oil, dirt, and other contaminants that cause corrosion, freezing and component failure.

At the core of the ApolloSDx is the Consep (Condenser/Separator) and the PURest Air Dryer, which features an integrated purge volume, eliminating the need for a separate tank, said Williams. The Consep pre-treats incoming air, removing up to 90% of contaminants before it reaches the PURest Air Dryer. This process extends the life of the Multi-Treatment Cartridge (MTC+), which will remove up to 99% of any remaining moisture in the compressed air, providing superior protection against corrosion, freezing, and component failure.

The ApolloSDx configuration delivers up to 34 SCFM, filtering and drying air to extend the life of downstream components.

The ApolloSDx features a compact system for flexible mounting and easy maintenance. A preassembled system on a custom mounting bracket enables quick installation, with the Consep positioned on either the left or right side to accommodate vehicle configurations.
