BeyondTrucks is taking load planning optimization to the next level with the introduction of the Optimization Solution for the company’s transportation management system. The new platform features built-in artificial intelligence designed to make dispatchers and driver managers more efficient and make better route planning decisions as daily load demands change.
At its announcement during a press conference at the American Trucking Associations’ 2025 Management Conference & Exhibition in San Diego, BeyondTrucks’ CEO Hans Galland said this is the first time AI-powered optimization solvers have been embedded natively in a transportation management system.
“Dispatchers either rely on tribal knowledge or struggle with optimization tools that don’t fit their workflow,” he said. “Our technology allows optimizing load assignments across drivers, tractors and trailers, routes and schedules using AI-powered algorithms and constraint management. This means when something changes, the user can flexibly adjust constraints and run the optimization again instantly.”
BeyondTrucks’ Optimization Solution adds a new layer of conversational intelligence that helps the system learn and adapt to constant changes in load routing and planning. “The moment you have a plan, it's essentially outdated,” said Galland in reference to current routing solution systems that only get infrequent algorithm updates throughout the year.
With BeyondTrucks’ new solution, a dispatcher can enter new information about a load in real time – traffic avoidance, changes in customer delivery priorities, or driver-related issues, for example – and the system interprets the natural language input from the dispatcher and recalculates the route schedule. “The [Optimization Solution] system… delivers a reoptimized solution without calling an engineer, without filing an IT ticket and without thinking, ‘why does this matter?’,” said Galland.
