Truckstop.com is expanding beyond standard truckload with a recent transaction that brings heavy-haul rate intelligence to its platform.

The load board and freight management software provider has invested in heavy haul, oversized, and specialized freight with its acquisition of Wize Load, whose Wize Rate platform helps users estimate rates, evaluate lanes, and understand the full cost of moving oversized freight.

This acquisition follows Truckstop.com’s recent launch of its Heavy Haul Load Board Pro platform, which connects carriers running open deck, flatbed, and specialized equipment to loads that require complex moves.

The acquisition creates a unified heavy-haul workflow, pairing load matching with pricing intelligence under one platform.

Truckstop.com Founder and CEO Scott Moscrip said the company is now “doubling down” on technology built for heavy haul, oversized, and over-dimensional freight with Truckstop Heavy Haul Rates, formerly Wize Load. Heavy Haul Rates brings lane data, permit rules, and equipment requirements together in one place to enable brokers to more quickly estimate pricing in an environment that requires more planning than standard truckload.

“When a load involves permits, escorts, or specialized equipment, pricing has to be right before the truck moves,” Moscrip said. “Our customers use this data every day to quote complex shipments faster, win more loads, and protect their margins. Bringing Wize Load into Truckstop helps us keep building the tools transportation professionals rely on to run their business.”

Truckstop will continue offering Truckstop Heavy Haul Rates with the same login and workflow customers use and plans to expand on Wize Load’s tools for heavy haul, open deck, and specialized freight.
