PopCapacity, a digital marketplace that aims to provide shippers and carriers with friction-free connections to warehouse and fulfillment space that suits their needs, has released the third iteration of its in-house developed AI platform, PopCapacity Pro. The company also has partnered with vendors like Ryder System and CBRE that offer supporting services. PopCapacity’s CEO (Matt Fain) said, “In the course of moving their goods, they may need a lot of other things – whether that means help with drayage or customs, services for returns, packaging, automation/robotics or hazmat. Or maybe they need to connect to a warehouse management system. Their scope of work will generate the recommendations, and that will save them a tremendous amount of time chasing down these services.” The company has developed its own applicable type of AI with a focus on logistics, so that the matching algorithm is more precise in recommending relevant opportunities to each user in each situation. The new AI model is also more advanced in that it not only gives the user the best match for a given situation, it also tells the user why that particular match is best. Shippers, carriers and warehouses can sign up for PopCapacity Pro at popcapacity.com. AI-powered integrated operations platform Motive has rolled out a new coaching solution that consolidates safety and compliance activities into one unified workflow to give fleet and safety managers real-time visibility into driver performance to enhance coaching efficiency and reduce risk. With Motive’s new Integrated Coaching feature, fleet and safety managers can manage driver safety and compliance issues more effectively by accessing all coaching activities, including cell phone usage, close following and Hours of Service (HOS) violations, through a single “Coaching” tab in the Motive Fleet Dashboard. The feature flags logs that require attention and simplifies coaching status tracking with easy-to-use labels such as “Needs Review,” “Coachable,” “Coached,” and “Dismissed” so managers can quickly prioritize coaching sessions and follow up with drivers. Mecanica Scientific Services Corporation, a provider of crash reconstruction and engineering services, has joined Geotab Marketplace. Through this partnership, Mecanica offers Geotab customers forensically neutral data preservation, reporting, analysis and expert witness services. Mecanica can preserve data from Geotab's GO devices in a forensically neutral manner; provide detailed reports on the data that has been preserved; analyze the data to identify trends and patterns; and provide expert witness testimony in legal cases involving Geotab data. Carrier payments platform TriumphPay has expanded its open payments network to include Mexican pesos now that Mexico is the U.S.’s top trading partner. U.S.-Mexico trade reached $855 billion in 2023. TriumphPay now operates in USD, CAD and MXN. This simplifies fast, secure payments across borders, fostering operational efficiency and supporting logistics companies in meeting increased demand. Key benefits for brokers, carriers and drivers include enhanced local currency options, payment automation and dedicated Spanish-language support, enabling seamless transactions and a more supportive experience for those on the ground. TriumphPay plans to expand globally, adding European and Asian currencies by year-end to further streamline international logistics.
