00:00 This week’s CCJ Tech Shorts is all about AI, from fresh capabilities that optimize the supply chain to integrations and a location platform’s new app.
00:23 Project44 has launched six capabilities to automate and optimize the most resource-intensive supply chain tasks, improving data accuracy, streamlining workflows and delivering real-time supply chain intelligence.
New AI capabilities include AI Data Quality Agents, AI Disruption Navigator and the AI supply chain assistant called MO.
AI Agents handle all data quality improvements automatically, reducing data gaps by up to 50% and eliminating manual follow-ups and resource drain, enabling teams to shift focus from data fixes to strategic decisions.
The AI Disruption Navigator identifies global supply chain disruptions—such as natural disasters, labor strikes and geopolitical events—and drills down with a personalized view of impacted shipments, enabling faster response times and reducing disruption-related costs by an estimated 40%.
Users can ask MO complex questions and get instant answers, reducing query response time up to 90%.
Newly released supply chain optimization capabilities include freight procurement analytics, task management and returns visibility.
Freight procurement analytics identifies cost-saving opportunities across lanes, enabling an estimated 2-3% reduction in FTL freight spend through data-driven carrier selection and real-time market rate benchmarking.
Task management boosts transportation team efficiency by accelerating exception identification and resolution.
And returns visibility provides end-to-end transparency to reduce returns processing costs by up to 25% and increase post-return customer retention rates with real-time insights and updates throughout the entire returns journey.
02:09 AI-powered TMS provider BeyondTrucks has added 74 major accounting and payroll systems integrations to its BeyondTrucks Integration Hub.
The last decade has seen fragmentation and specialization in fleet technologies, with many best-of-breed cloud solutions capable of serving fleets better than all-in-one or homegrown platforms. This trend has aggravated the challenges and increased costs when fleets need to build and maintain connections between their TMS and other technologies. The BeyondTrucks Integration Hub solves this problem by offering a pre-built connection to other cloud-based technologies.
BeyondTrucks’ CEO (Hans Galland) said, “Many fleets find it a challenge to identify and pay for service providers to connect their legacy TMS with other technologies they use. With these new accounting and payroll systems, the BeyondTrucks Integration Hub now includes more than 100 technologies.”
He added that the integration hub positions fleets to take advantage of the emerging trend of AI-powered technologies.
03:08 Logistics AI company Pando has launched a new suite of AI agents designed to automate freight procurement, dispatch planning, and freight audit and payment processes for global brands.
Pi, Pando’s new AI Teams for Logistics, follows a ‘Logistics Services as Software’ model that enables manufacturers, distributors and retailers to replace manual, error-prone tasks with intelligent automation to unlock efficiency and cost savings by replacing the need for additional staff or software with AI agents.
Logistics managers can delegate repetitive tasks to Pando’s AI Agents, which act as a team of smart analysts.
Those time-consuming tasks include coordinating with carriers, negotiating rates, verifying invoices, tracking shipment delays and ensuring contract compliance and service delivery and automates routine tasks like payments processing and freight spend analysis and reporting.
Integrated with business systems, third-party tools and market data, Pando creates an enterprise-specific supply chain knowledge graph. This dynamic, real-time representation of the logistics network continuously trains enterprise-specific Logistics Language Models that not only understand multi-modal global logistics but precisely understand the context of individual businesses and their networks.
04:26 Location platform HERE Technologies has rolled out its WeGo Pro app, which is tailored for fleet operators that rely on precision navigation and efficiency in middle-mile and “milk run” logistics.
The app was designed to meet the growing demand for customizable mapping solutions that promote safer and more efficient driving.
Here are some of its key features:
AI assistance, real-time data feedback and customizable map configurations. In future versions of the app, HERE’s AI assistant can be leveraged and site-specific rules and customized route preferences can be established.
Comprehensive global road coverage with truck-specific attributes available in more than 75 countries.
Predictive ETAs based on dynamic conditions, including real-time traffic, weather and historical data.
Optimized multi-stop tours with efficient routing to minimize fuel consumption, reduce drive time and account for truck-specific constraints.
And it’s built for fleet operations with seamless integrations.
