00:00 This week’s CCJ Tech Shorts highlights updates to a safety platform, a 24/7 AI-powered logistics planner and a partnership that aims to improve safety outcomes.
00:22 AI-powered fleet safety platform Nauto has rolled out a set of major updates and is expanding its platform with additional features.
Updates include a smarter AI model on its device software to improve detection of external driving risks, predictive intersection violation alerts and improved speed monitoring. The device software update also includes the debut of real-time defensive driving detection.
Another update is a new suite of FMCSA compliance tools, including the Nauto Electronic Logging Device mobile app with automated driving status, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports, and International Fuel Tax Agreement reporting.
In addition, Nauto is offering new hardware – an ancillary camera to give fleets a full 360-degree view with side-view, wireless backup, interior cargo, and intelligent blind spot cameras, plus a DVR hub for seamless integration.
01:14 C.H. Robinson has launched a new service called Always-on Logistics Planner, powered by AI agents embedded into customer operations. These agents automate routine tasks, surface strategic insights, and enable seamless global coordination across every mode and region. They manage shipment tracking, document processing, invoice auditing and more.
The planner is built on C.H. Robinson’s global TMS platform and is fueled by data from 37 million annual shipments.
This launch is the first step in a broader expansion of C.H. Robinson’s premium service offerings, as the company accelerates its deployment of agentic AI across its Managed Solutions portfolio.
01:55 Fleetworthy, a technology suite that unifies safety, compliance, toll management and weigh station bypass, has partnered with Loadsure, which provides cargo insurance coverage for shippers, freight brokers, insurance agents, and motor carriers.
This partnership brings proactive fleet safety technology to Loadsure’s network of trucking fleets and insurance agents, and Loadsure policyholders can access a free trial of Fleetworthy’s Drivewyze Safety+ solution.
The solution offers real-time alerts for high-risk areas such as rollover zones, high-speed intersections, and upcoming work zones. It requires no additional hardware and integrates seamlessly into existing in-cab telematics systems. Fleets using the service have seen measurable improvements in safety outcomes and driver engagement.
