Numerous vehicles crashed or got stuck in blinding and piling snow over the weekend thanks to a blizzard which led state officials to shut down portions of Interstate 70 in Colorado, Missouri and Kansas.

The bad weather came during busy holiday traffic following Thanksgiving. Truckers were among the stranded and included Garrett Martin who, along with other drivers, was required by officers to pull off the I-70 in Junction City, Kansas. He took refuge at nearby Sapp Brothers truck stop.

“I got a truck full of meat nice steaks so I appreciate it if the roads open up,” Martin told wibw.com. “They can drop some salt down on the roads so, I can get down to California that would be fantastic.”
