Kenworth is launching a special-edition paint scheme to commemorate the Freedom 250 initiative, a nationwide celebration of the United States’ 250th birthday.
The new design is a modern reimagining of the TourAmerica paint scheme originally featured on the mid-1990s Kenworth T600. Company officials said the refreshed look aims to preserve the heritage of the iconic original while utilizing contemporary finishes.
The commemorative design is available for order on Kenworth T680, W900L, W990, and T880 models equipped with sleepers.
"The original TourAmerica T600 represented innovation and pride for drivers across the country," said Kevin Haygood, Kenworth assistant general manager for sales and marketing. "Bringing that design forward for today’s models allows us to honor that history as we celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday."
As part of the Freedom 250 Tour, Kenworth donated a T680 with a 76-inch sleeper to power a fleet of Freedom Trucks. These mobile museums are scheduled to travel across the U.S. throughout 2026, providing interactive educational exhibits to schools and local communities.
The initiative highlights the role of the American trucking industry while supporting veterans and community organizations nationwide.
