Got a sinking feeling about this…

A truck driver in San Francisco got the surprise of his life this past week when the truck he was driving began to slowly slip into the ground.

While scenes like this seem right out of a Stephen King novel, it was the real deal for this driver, who had just parked his triple-axle flatbed early Friday morning along Seventh Street when the ground beneath his rig began to slowly collapse.

“When I stopped, I felt the truck falling towards the right side, sinking in slow motion,” the driver told sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com. “I took off my seatbelt and jumped from the door.”

No one was hurt, however traffic had to be diverted for hours. The truck was eventually pulled from the hole. An old sewer pipe that’s no longer used may be to be blame.
