Universal Express says it has signed a letter of intent to acquire a majority interest in Global Trucking Services, a Miami-based carrier that provides luggage delivery and other trucking services to most major airlines serving Miami International Airport and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
“As our Luggage Express Division matures and enters mainstream thinking and application in the industry, alliances and airport branding with transportation logistics providers such as Global Trucking become increasingly relevant and important to our core business,” says Richard Altomare, chairman and chief executive officer of Universal Express.
