An entrepreneur who partnered with a trucking company to launch fleet podcasts as a recruiting tool has now launched a new driver recruiting app that helps drivers evaluate fleets’ job opportunities and gives recruiters insight into candidate engagement.
Driver Decision Kit (DDK) is a mobile web app that offers prospective drivers personalized job information following initial contact with a recruiter. The recruiter enters the candidate’s name, position and the role they are applying for, and the app generates a unique landing page and link tailored to each driver that the recruiter can share via text.
The app centralizes all the information the driver candidate could need, including details regarding the position, pay, benefits, training, company culture, the recruiter they spoke with and even where they will stay and who they will meet during orientation. It also features an AI agent that answers drivers’ questions with fleet-specific information and directs them to relevant videos, podcast episodes, and related content directly in the app.
Grant Stanley, founder of DDK and managing partner of Bulldog Works, the consulting firm that launched fleet podcasts, said recruiting content on fleet websites is often too generic, and it forces drivers to wander to find information. DDK aims to eradicate that wander and offer more detailed information to increase a fleet’s chances of converting driver interest into a hire.
“With this personalized kit, fleets can directly address questions that matter to each driver and their family. By helping them make informed decisions, fleets create a unique recruiting and retention advantage,” Stanley said. “Changing jobs is a major decision, and uncertainty leads many drivers who accept offers to not attend orientation. By answering important questions early, the kit removes uncertainty and jitters for drivers and their families. They feel prepared and confident in their job decision.”
The cornerstone of the app answers the biggest question most drivers have: pay. In a CCJ survey, 81% of driver respondents said fleets are having a hard time finding drivers because they don’t pay enough.

The interactive pay calculator allows drivers to adjust variables — home time, bonuses, pay tiers, deductions and workweek assumptions — to gain greater insight into potential earnings rather than offering a standard pay range.
Drivers are given the option to submit a digital application or message the recruiter through the app.

DDK also allows recruiters to follow driver engagement with the app. Recruiters are provided an activity report, giving them visibility into what each driver viewed, clicked, calculated and asked. This helps recruiters gauge interest and inform follow-up conversations with candidates.
The web app’s AI-engineered prompts enable users to tailor DDK for each driver, recruiter and fleet. Fleets can customize the tool with their logo, colors, job positions and pay program details, and recruiters can add a photo, biography and contact information.
With minimal setup, the app can go live within a week, and the cost is $100 a month per recruiter.
