Parker named TCA chairman

At its annual meeting last month in Las Vegas, the Truckload Carriers Association elected Clifton Parker chairman for the 2002-2003 term. Parker, the son of a truck driver, held positions at Carolina Freight Carriers and Red Arrow Freight Lines before accepting his current position of president and general manager of Columbia, S.C.-based G & P Trucking Co. in 1986.
