The American Trucking Associations is accepting nominees through Jan. 17 for its 2003 America’s Road Team. The 12 driver “captains” on the team must be accident-free and have a history of educating the public about highway safety and the positive side of the industry. Team members represent the industry before groups varying from schools to Congress and share their knowledge at safety and driver training classes, truck shows and industry exhibitions.
Nominations must come from ATA member carriers. Nominees must be full-time drivers or owner-operators leased to ATA members. Application forms are available from America’s Road Team, 2200 Mill Road, Alexandria, VA 22314. They also may be obtained by fax at (703) 838-8468 or online.
