Richard Picciotto, chief of the Fire Department of New York, will kick off the 2003 National Private Truck Council annual meeting April 27 in St. Louis. Picciotto was the highest-ranking firefighter to survive the World Trade Center collapse and the last man to escape the devastation. He is the author of the best-selling book Last Man Down.
Educational sessions at the annual conference will cover security, fuel purchasing, engine technology, accident investigation, equipment leasing and other issues.
