Warren Hoemann has been named chief counsel of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta announced last month. Hoemann had been vice president of the California Trucking Association since 1997 and previously served as vice president for government relations at Yellow Corp. He was general counsel for the Western Highway Institute, a non-profit trucking industry research organization, from 1978 to 1986.
