TransCore announced the purchase of transportation management system (TMS) software and related intellectual property assets of CarrierPoint Inc. CarrierPoint provides Web-based applications for shippers and third-party logistics service providers.
Webtech Wireless announced the launch of Webtech 4000, a telematics device that uses both GSM/GPRS networks and the Orbcomm satellite network to provide fleets with a dual mode, “always-on” connection to their back office for fleet monitoring. WebTech’s services include tracking, navigation, messaging, telemetry and J1708 reporting.
