Michelin is extending the X One Wide Single Tire Total Satisfaction Guarantee into 2005.

The guarantee is available to new X One tire customers who purchase at least four replacement tire assemblies. The guarantee covers the first 10 sets of X One tires purchased. Michelin will take back the tires and wheels and provide, within the first 60 days of purchase, a full refund while assisting with the switch back to a dual configuration.

As part of its guarantee, Michelin will buy back X One casings and will cover 75 percent of the cost of the wheels if the owner isn’t pleased with the tire’s performance at the end of its original tread life.

The X One replaces dual tire sets with just one tire.

The entire X One line is available through all original equipment manufacturers as well as for replacement purchase through Michelin dealers and at travel plazas nationwide.

In part to cover the demand for X One tires, Michelin has added a new production line at its Spartanburg, S.C., facility to increase tire production.

Tires produced on the line will be used to meet the needs of fleets requesting X One wide single tires as original equipment on their new trucks and trailers.
