Barnett Transportation, a hazmat carrier based in Tuscaloosa, Ala., was recognized as one of the state’s safest trucking fleets at the Alabama Trucking Association’s Safety and Maintenance Management Council Fleet Safety Award Banquet.
The awards recognized association members with the lowest accident frequency per million miles traveled in the state of Alabama.
A panel — made up of officials from the Alabama Department of Public Safety, Department of Transportation and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration — evaluates award recipients.
