Schneider National hosted its annual Associate Appreciation Days from June 6-10 to thank employees companywide for their loyalty and commitment. The weeklong event recognized the company’s 22,000 associates, from drivers to mechanics to office associates. Teams of corporate leaders spent the week visiting Schneider locations around the United States, including Atlanta, Houston, Memphis, Indianapolis, Charlotte, N.C. and Harrisburg, Pa.

“Associate Appreciation Days is always a great event because it gives us a chance to thank all of our associates for the fabulous work they do. They are the vital link in satisfying our customers,” said Chris Lofgren, president and chief executive officer of Schneider National. “The transportation industry is ever changing, making it essential that our employees know how much we value their contributions and appreciate their input. Schneider has risen to the top of the industry because of our associates, and we are proud to devote the week to say thank you.”

In addition to the driver-focused activities such as pumping gas and washing windshields, leadership teams provided driver and nondriver associates with corporate updates, hosted small group question-and-answer sessions, shared meals and spent time at driver gathering areas to express their appreciation and learn more about driver issues. Driver Operating Centers and select field locations also featured information booths from key Schneider suppliers and provided information on safety, maintenance, process, careers and service. Raffles, online games and other activities also took place throughout the week.

During Associate Appreciation Days, representatives from vendors including Freightliner, XM Satellite Radio, Definity Health and Maptuit Corporation were available to answer questions and provide additional information.
