Nagle Toledo Inc. of Walbridge, Ohio, has put into effect a starting pay of .40 cents per mile for OTR drivers. That is a .03 cents per mile increase over the carrier’s previous starting wage.
Nagle Toledo also offers a bonus program of .02 cents per mile for meeting safety incentives and efficient driving. There is no minimum number of miles to reach the bonuses.
The wage and bonus program changes can increase the first-year wage of a driver substantially, the company says. Drivers also receive detention and drop pay, above the mileage rate.
