When specifying seats, it’s easier to look at price than at value. But seat manufacturers are well aware of the increasing importance of driver satisfaction – especially in an era of driver shortages. So they have created a number of premium seats and special options that easily could change a long day at the wheel from barely endurable to downright pleasurable.
Seats play a large role in combating fatigue by minimizing the work done by the muscles in supporting the driver’s body throughout the day. A good seat might cost more, but a driver who feels relaxed and fresh is likely to do more – bringing back the cost of the seat and then some.
