Schneider National has announced that Mitch Weckop has joined the company as vice president and general manager of dedicated services. In the position, Weckop will lead Schneider’s bulk, refrigerated, specialized and dedicated lines.
“Mitch comes to Schneider with a diverse background in supply chain leadership and brand management,” said Scott Arves, president of transportation for Green Bay, Wis.-based Schneider National. “Throughout his career, Mitch has achieved impressive results leading major national brands toward supply chain efficiency. We are extremely fortunate to have him join our team.”
Weckop joins Schneider National from Paper Converting Machine Co., a converting, printing and packaging technologies company where he served as vice president and general manager, handling a global P&L and maintaining leadership responsibilities for sales, customer service, marketing and engineering operations in North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
Previously, Weckop spent more than 20 years at Procter & Gamble, serving most recently as supply chain leader, handling operational responsibility for a multimillion-dollar consumer goods facility. He also served as an operations manager and in marketing brand management for the Pampers and Bounty brands.
Weckop holds a bachelor’s degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind., and a master’s degree in business administration from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee.
