Qualcomm recently broke ground on its Secure Network Operations Center in North Las Vegas. U.S. Senator Harry Reid (D-Nev.) was on hand at the 32-acre site.

The center will enhance the company’s infrastructure for technology solutions used by transportation fleets to track and help secure and protect high-risk and high-value cargo.

Qualcomm also recently formed a technology and marketing alliance with SmartEquip. Under the agreement, Qualcomm’s Globaltracs equipment management system will be integrated with SmartEquip’s e-FleetPro construction equipment lifecycle manager.
