Love Walk Ministries, an outreach ministry program started by Living Word Fellowship of Hickory, N.C., plans to give away a Peterbilt to a ministry donor chosen in a drawing.
The ministry, organized by Pastor Sherry Hicks, is raising funds to provide food and clothes to the homeless.
For every $100 donation, the donor gets a chance to win a new 2006 Peterbilt 379 with an extended hood and a 70-inch sleeper. The winner will be determined by a drawing in November.
All donations collected at the 2005 Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, Aug. 25-27, will receive two tickets.
The fund-raising effort began in April and has a goal of $100,000. Hicks said she is unsure how much has been raised.
