Landstar System recently announced that Kevin Fletcher has joined Landstar Logistics as vice president of operations.
The Jacksonville, Fla.-based transportation company also announced the promotions of Lisa Pate to Landstar Logistics vice president of agency development and Priscilla Miller to Landstar Logistics vice president of finance.
In his new position, Fletcher will be responsible for all facets of Landstar Logistics’ daily operations, including vendor relationships, capacity expansion, warehousing and the coordination of bid processes and packaging of lanes among agents. Fletcher also will have responsibility for the technology services delivered through Landstar Logistics’ Orbit transportation management system, the company’s proprietary logistics optimization software program.
Fletcher, who has more than 20 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, most recently served as director of transportation at Menlo Worldwide Logistics, where he also held the position of senior logistics manager.
“Kevin will be a great asset to our overall operation,” said Jim Handoush, Landstar Logistics president. “His expertise in logistics operations and warehousing will enable us to provide more comprehensive supply chain solutions to our customers worldwide.”
